Iya mbak, Chiang Mai memang menarik. Kotanya gak terlalu besar, bisa ditelusuri dengan berjalan kaki, udaranya lebih sejuk, orangnya ramah-ramah, dan angkutan dalam kotanya juga memadai.

Soal makanan gak usah khawatir, banyak masakan halal, atau kalau masih ragu tinggal pergi ke daerah Islamic Centre nya. Di situ terdapat banyak restoran yang menyediakan masakan-masakan halal yang sedap-sedap.

Hehehe ini laporan perjalananku ke Thailand tahun 2010. Terakhir aku ke Bangkok di tahun 2014 sih, sudah makin banyak masakan-masakan halal yang dijual :-)

Setelah membaca post Ini, aku jadi tertarik ke Chiang Mai. Aku suka Thailand, namun karena urusan makanan, jadinya agak cukup merepotkan kalau travelling ke sana, seperti yang kamu bilang, harus kembali ke satu restoran yang jauhnya minta ampun hanya untuk makan. Ngga nyangka, kalo di Chiang Mai ternyata bisa menemukan makanan halal lebih mudah

A CM local stumbled upon your blog. Honestly I cannot read Bahasa ID so I have to use g-translate. Hope it does its work alright.

You correctly spelled Khao Pheun. I am Thai and I got the idea at first glance. This dish is what we derived from Shan People or Tai yai. Same as Khao Soy which originated from Muslims in the north of MM and southwest of CH. Thai cultures, both in the central and other regions, are mixed with lots of influence from other ethics due to the fact that we located at the center of mainland SE Asian, surrounded by all neighbors with different cultures since the ancient time. For northern culture they have lots of influence from Central TH, MM, and ethics groups around here.

TH and CM are not different from other places on earth. We have both good and bad things, also good and bad people. Hope you find the first ones wherever you go.

Setuju, Khao Pheun unik dan enak. Hahaha itu sih tragedinya gara-gara ada yang suka makan apa aja tanpa nanya. Tapi enak khan kulit babinya? :-D
